LCN
The LCN system (Local Control Network) by Issendorff KG is a wired building and smart home automation system that networks and automates functions such as lighting, heating, shutters, security, and energy management. It uses an additional conductor within the existing electrical installation as a data bus, eliminating the need for specialized bus cables. Each module in the system has its own intelligence, allowing commands to be processed locally without requiring a central controller. LCN is suitable for small apartments as well as large residential and commercial buildings. Typical applications include automatic lighting control, shading automation, temperature regulation, alarm, and access control functions. Control is carried out via push-buttons, visualization interfaces, or mobile devices. LCN installations can be expanded step by step and flexibly adapted. The system offers robust and reliable communication with feedback and fault detection. Thanks to its modular architecture, it can be easily integrated into existing electrical installations. LCN is predominantly installed by professional electricians and is recognized in the electrical industry as a reliable and scalable solution.

LCN-VISU Issendorff KG
Coupling and visualization module for connection to a network The LCN-VISU is a combined visualization and network coupling module for the LCN bus. Communication takes place via LAN with RJ45 or WLAN. The coupler includes the LCN-PCHK service. It is compatible with all LCN bus modules from firmware 0701... (January 1997). Application Areas Typical application areas of the LCN-VISU are: Remote maintenance with LCN-PRO Visualization with LCN-GVS Coupling with PCK protocol Visualization with OpenHAB The LCN-VISU serves as a network access to the LCN system in LCN systems. Through this access, the parameterization of the LCN system is carried out by the installer or coupled to other systems across trades. Another application case is the connection of the LCN visualization on the PC. Using the system software LCN-GVS, direct and bidirectional data exchange between LCN system states as well as direct control commands from the visualization PC takes place. The new integrated OpenHAB visualization is quickly set up; it is automatically generated based on the labels and comments in the PCN-Pro programming. A connection of all devices existing for the OpenHAB standard is easily possible additionally. Hardware Equipment RJ-45 interface WLAN interface Connection to the LCN bus Optical status display of the operating state Note: It is not possible to access the LCN-VISU with two LCN-PRO of the same license. Function Description The LCN-VISU supports two simultaneous PCHK connections to the LCN bus, thus allowing LCN-GVS and LCN-PRO to access the bus simultaneously. The PCHK monitor under Windows optionally serves for further configuration and monitoring of the LCN-VISU. For the third connection to the LCN bus, an LCN-PCHK license in full version must be entered via the PCHK monitor. Each additional connection requires an upgrade license. Coupling LCN-PCKTo get the data from a third-party application via LCN-PCK onto the LCN bus, this software is required. It buffers incoming and outgoing commands and messages, checks and translates them. The TCP/IP network is used as the communication connection. This protocol works with simple ASCII strings. An example: M000111A1100010 means module 111 in segment 000, output 1 on 100 with ramp 10. Feedback such as status or measured values are also returned similarly simple and logically. This type of communication is fast and easy to implement in third-party applications. Time/Date With an existing internet connection, the LCN-VISU regularly resets the time. Thus, all LCN modules have the current time, which can be displayed on an LCN-GT4D/-GT10D. This function can be configured via the VISU web interface. Technical Data Connection Supply voltage: 85V - 265V, 50/60 Hz Power consumption: 2 W Supply terminals: screwless, solid max. 2.5 mm² or stranded with end sleeve max 1.5 mm², through-wiring current max. 16 A Connection to the network LAN: RJ45 WLAN: 802.11b/g/n, WPA2 encrypted Installation Operating temperature: -10 to 40 °C Humidity: Max. 80% rel., non-condensing Environmental conditions: Use in fixed installation according to VDE 632, VDE 637 Protection class: IP20 The LCN-VISU separates/isolates the LCN bus up to 4kV galvanically from the RJ45 socket. Scope of delivery: LCN-Visu
